The National Monuments Service's description
A loose arrangement (Wth 3.7m; D 0.5m) of mixed brushwood in opposing drain faces. The components are up to eight pieces deep but do not form a clear structure. The depth of the site and the paucity of the wood may suggest that this set of wood accumulated over a period of time. Within the upper level of the site at its NW end, however, a band of more densely arranged brushwood is noted. Wood species identified include birch, hazel, ash and willow. The site sits in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. It is one of a number of similar sites occurring in this drain face to which it may be associated, including. This is one of a series of comparable sites along a 34m long stretch in this drain face which includes SMR OF015-155---- 0.8m to the NW and SMR OF015-153---- to the SE. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
