The National Monuments Service's description
Circular sunken well (int. diam. 0.75m; D to water 3.6m; Max D 5m) with a dry stone lining located in the N quadrant of a 17th centurybawn (OF005-011002-). The well is located immediately S of the gable of a 19th century farmhouse and was adapted during this period when a water pump was inserted into the well. This well may be contemporary with the 17th centuryfortified house known as Kilcolgan Castle (OF015-011001-).
