The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 2.7m; D 0.4m) is orientated NNE-SSW and composed of eight longitudinal roundwoods and a single oak plank with a substructure of brushwood below the centre of the site. There is a rectangular mortice, (L 0.12m; Wth 0.10m; D 0.055m) at the centre of the plank. Ash, oak, birch and hazel are amongst the species present and toolmarks were recorded. On a second visit to this site three further trackways were noted in the drain face. The first was a togher recorded above this site and 0.4m below the bog surface. It is composed of roundwoods (av. diam. 0.1m) with some intervening brushwood (diam. 0.03-0.05m). The other two new toghers are located below this site and consist of tightly compacted brushwood and roundwoods (av. diam. 0.05m). A large number of pegs were also noted.
