The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 37m min; Wth 0.052m; D 0.46m) is orientated N-S and composed of dense layers of longitudinal birch and ash brushwood (diam. 0.015-0.02m) interspersed with some large roundwoods. Some of the ash brushwood is half-split. The site is seven layers deep along the N side and decreases to a single layer at the S. The width of the site as exposed in section is exaggerated by the angle at which the drain truncates the site. Toolmarks were recorded.
