The National Monuments Service's description

Three pieces of heavy brushwood (Wth 0.7m; D 0.07m) in opposing drain faces. Wood species include alder and ash. The wood is situated in well-humified Sphagnum peat. The site may be related to SMR OF007-083----, located 4.7m to the NW. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
