The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 337.47m; Wth 0.68m; D 0.16m) is orientated ENE-WSW and primarily consists of longitudinal oak planks laid end-to-end and secured in place with pegs through mortices in the ends of the timbers. At most of the W sightings, the site is below the water level and can only be identified as one, and occasionally two, longitudinal planks. At some sightings, it consists of two parallel planks (D 0.03-0.12m) or a plank with a roundwood and some brushwood. The width of the site varies (Wth 0.12-0.68m) along its length.
At one central location, it is composed of a substantial longitudinal plank (Wth 0.4m; D 0.08m), with a split oak peg (L 0.36m) through a broken mortice. Two short fragments of split timber overlie the plank adjacent to the peg. This sighting is set in Sphagnum peat containing Eriophorum and some ericaceous remains. A dendrochronological date of 1509±9 BC or later (Q9291) was returned for a sample from this sighting. SMR OF007-066----, SMR OF007-070----, SMR OF007-080---- and SMR OF007-082---- are located within 5m of this site along its S side and SMR OF007-067---- is 2.8m to the N.
