The National Monuments Service's description

A linear arrangement of 37 posts and stakes (L 10m min; Wth 1.6m; D 1.14m) orientated ESE-WNW. The uprights are set at angle of 45-90° and at its widest the row is six posts across. Most of the wood is hazel (diam. 0.061-0.105m) but two pieces of birch were noted (diam. 0.039-0.059m). Post and stake (L 0.183-1.14m) ends are worked into chisel, wedge and the occasional pencil points with distinctively concave facets. Some degraded brushwood of ash, birch and hazel occurred between the uprights and grains of sand were present on the tips of several posts. Branch trimming was noted on a number of posts and the wood is generally in good condition with bark surviving. This site, or its neighbour SMR OF006-079003-, may be associated with SMR OF006-079001-.
