The National Monuments Service's description

Located towards the top of the SE-facing spine of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. c. 35m N-S; c. 33m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at SW: Wth 2.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m), with an outer fosse (at E: Wth of top 4.6m; Wth of base 2.7m; D 0.8m) ENE-SW and a slight external bank SE-SW. The entrance (Wth of base 1.6m) and causeway (Wth of top 2.9m; H 1.2m) are at ESE. A rectangular grass and scrub-covered annexe (dims 33m NE-SW; 27 NW-SE at SW to 36m NW-SE at NE) is attached to the NW. It is defined by scarps at SW and NE (Wth 3.2m; H 2.6m) and by an earthen bank at NW.
