The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the N end of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is a grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 24m NE-SW) defined by a slight earthen bank (at SW: Wth 2.2m; int. H 0.2; ext. H 0.7m) that is largely reduced to an overgrown scarp (at NE: Wth 3m; H 2.8m). There are gaps in the perimeter at NW and SSE, but the entrance at SE (Wth of base 2m) is probably the original entrance.
The description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
