The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a rise in a col with drumlins to the W and E but at the head of a valley that opens out to the S. This is a large subcircular grass-covered area (dim 50m NW-SE; 43.8m ENE-WSW) with visible rock outcrop defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 5-6m; int. H 0.8-1m; ext. H 1.9-2.3m) with no visible evidence of a fosse. The original entrance is not identified. Rath (MO028-008----) is c. 100m to the S.
