The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Remains of court-tomb consisting of mound (L 30m; Wth 14.5m) aligned NW-SE and narrowing to SE. Near NW are two jambs and side stone of gallery opening to N which is partly obscured by fence which crosses site form NW to SE. A set stone S of fence my indicate a continuation of structure.
