The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a SE-facing slope of a NE-SW drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 35.4m WNW-WSW; 34m NNW-SSE) that slopes down to the SE defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base c. 5m; int. H 1m generally to 2m at W; ext. H 2.4-3m) and hedge with an outer fosse best preserved (Wth of top 5.2m; Wth of base 3.7m; ext. D 1.3m) NE-ESE. The entrance (Wth of base 2.5m) and causeway (Wth of top 3.4m; H 0.4m) is at SE.
