The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a level landscape with the S-N Blackwater River c. 500m to the W. An area of about 10 acres (c. 4 ha) is divided into rectangular plots (dims c. 14m x c. 8m to 28m x c. 25m) by silted ditches (Wth 6m; D 0.3m) or banks (Wth 2m; H 0.2m). At the S edge of one field (dims 25m x 25m) are three possible house sites (dims 7m x 7m) defined by low earthen banks. The largest rectangular enclosure (dims 60m N-S; 60m E-W) is defined by earthen banks (Wth 3m; H 0.3m) and occupies the E of the area. At the NW of the complex a spring is the origin of a stream that runs off to the N.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
