The National Monuments Service's description

In Area B Enclosure 15 is a rectangular annexe (dims 30m E-W; 10m N-S) attached to the S of Enclosure 1 during Phase 2 in the eight century as a replacement for Enclosures 12 and 14. The ditch sections (Wth 0.7-1.2m; D 0.17-0.7m) were re-cut at least once, and animal bone was present in small quantities. A small triangular addition (max. dims 15m N-S; 8m E-W) was made at the E end after the infilling of the original E side. Artefacts recovered included iron knives, a D-shaped copper-alloy buckle and carved bone trial-pieces with interlace comparable to samples from Lagore crannog (ME038-027----) that could date to the eight or ninth centuries AD. One horse radius had eleven complete carved panels of interlace and several in an incomplete state. (O’Hara 2009, 22; 2009a)
