The National Monuments Service's description
Archaeological testing (12E0271) by Donald Murphy recorded a large pit (diam. c. 3m; D 1m) commencing below the level of two mapped walls which were confirmed in the testing. The pit could not be fully excavated but it contained animal bones, charcoal and medieval pottery (excavations.ie 2012:468) and is preserved under a carpark.
