Architectural fragment

The National Monuments Service's description

Oliver Davies undertook a survey of the remains at Girley in 1940 and recorded the following list of architectural fragments in the graveyard (ME023-015001-) and built into the its surrounding wall. It is evident that these came from the medieval church on the site (ME023-015----).
(a) Part of glazed central mullion.
(b) Part of glazed side-jamb with bar-holes located between the graves of James Jones and James kelly.
(c) Tall piece of glaze mullion, weathered and apparently with punch-dressing in front.
(d) Part of a glazed side-jamb set into a circular stone setting.
(e) Part of an arch of a pointed window, glazed, with probably more than one round head double-cusped lights and small lights above in the tracery.
(f) Part of arch of rectangular window with glazed double-cusped ogee lights, jambs have channeled bevels (section like (e)). In top corners are shallow panels. Another piece of arch is very similar and probably from same window.
(i) Fragment of a window mullion with galzing channel( H. 0.30m, Wth 0.21, L0.15m). This is set into a line of gravemarkers behind the grave of Edward lenehan in the SW of the graveyard.
(j) Window mullion fragment with glazing channel located E of Peter Sheridans grave (dims. H 0.24m, L 0.18m, Wth 0.14m) and near the church ruins.
