The National Monuments Service's description
Circular area defined by circle of large pits within which were concentric lines of burials revealed in excavation by P.D. Sweetman. C14 dates centred c. 2000 BC. (Sweetman 1985, 195-221).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
