The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gently undulating landscape. The cropmarks of ditches forming small rectangular enclosures (dims c. 60m x c. 30m) are visible on oblique aerial photographs (CUCAP: ATC030-032) from July 1967 when the field was growing cereals, but the fields are not apparent in more recent series when under pasture. The relict fields cover an area of about 5 hectares (c. 13 acres). Archaeological testing (08E1001) by P. D. Sweetman at the E edge of the area produced no related material (excavations 2008:962), and further archaeological testing (09E0043) by R. Meenan c. 80m to the E had a similar result (excavations 2009:636). More recently, archaeological testing (19E0393) by P. D. Sweetman on the site of a house at the roadside produced no related material (excavations.ie 2019:771).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
