The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise in an undulating landscape. This is a slightly raised subcircular and grass-covered area (dims 32m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 5-7m; int. H 0.3m at E to 1.3m at W; ext. H 1.3m at E to 2.6m at W) with some trees, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 8.5-10m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.7m) SW-NW. The entrance (Wth of base 2.2m) is at ESE. An outer bank (at E: Wth of base 6m; ext. H 0.5m) planted with trees was built NW-E-SE, and a small flat-toped mound (diam. of base 11.5m; diam. of top 4m; H 2.3m), perhaps for the construction of a gazebo, was added to the bank at N.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
