The National Monuments Service's description
Located just SW of the summit of a fairly low NE-SW ridge. This is a rectangular and slightly dished grass-covered area (dims 27.8m NNE-SSW; 24.5m WNW-ESE) with rounded corners that slopes down to the E. It is defined by grass-covered earthen banks (at NE: Wth of base 8.9m; Wth of top 3m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.2m) and outer fosses (at NE: Wth of base 3m; ext. D 0.45m). There is an entrance gap (Wth of base 3m) at E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
