The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a bluff overlooking a small N-S stream at a point where it turns E just N of the monument. It is not depicted on any map but is visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: N 687, 688). It is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 28m E-W) defined by a scarp that is highest at NW (H 1.2m). There is no indication of a fosse or of an entrance although the latter might have been at S where scarp is least discernible.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
