The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a SE-facing slope. This is a subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 45m NW-SE; 38m NE-SW) that slopes down to the E (H 1m) and is defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth of base 6-7m; int. H 0.3-0.9m; ext. H 1.6-2.2m) separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 7-8m; ext. D 0.8-1.3m) from an outer flat-topped and overgrown earthen bank (Wth of base 8.5-10.5m; ext. H 1.1-1.9m). This outer bank has a small field bank (Wth c. 2m; H c. 0.5m) and inner drain built on the outer edge of its broad top (Wth 3-5m). There is a second outer fosse at (Wth of top 5-6m; ext. D 0.4-1.5m) and a third outer bank (Wth of base 3-5m; ext. H 0.6-1.4m) that is a field bank (max. ext. diam. c. 85m WNW-ESE). The entrance through the inner (Wth of base 2.6) and outer (Wth of base 5.5m) banks and a causeway (Wth of top 3.6m; H 0.5m) are at SE.
