The National Monuments Service's description
Situated just E of the summit of a short E-W drumlin ridge. This is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 34.5m E-W; 33m NNE-SSW) defined by a grass-covered earthen bank (Wth of base 3.8-4.2m; int. H 0.3-0.7m; ext. H 1.9-2.8m) with some bushes, and an outer, widened fosse (Wth of top 5m; Wth of base 1.2m; ext. D 0.7m) SE-W which is less prominent elsewhere. The entrance (Wth of base 6.4m), also widened, is at ESE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
