The National Monuments Service's description

Located towards the top of an E-facing slope. This was recorded in 1968 (SMR file) as a circular flat-topped mound (diam. of base 15m NW-SE; diam. of top 7.5m NW-SE; H 1.5m at NW to 2.9m at SE). It is situated c. 25m to the E of church (ME003-009----). There is a possible bailey (dims 37m N-S; 12m E-W) E of the motte defined by scarps to the ESE and a ditch to the W. It appears to have been removed by 1999 (MapGenie images).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
