The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a level ridge-top plateau. Located just below the crest of the ridge, which rises gently to W−NW, and close to the fall of ground on the SE side, which gives extensive views NE−S over a broad sweep of rolling grassland.
A slightly raised circular area (40.4m N−S; 41.1m E−W) defined by a substantial earthen bank. At W−N, there is a single rough basal course of stone facing. Elsewhere around the circuit, stones protrude randomly from the dilapidated internal face of the bank –possibly remnants of an original stone facing. The bank has a fairly broad and flattened top; it is riddles with rabbit burrows and eroded in parts by cattle. There is a break (Wth 5m) at NNE and another (Wth 3m) at E.
Immediately outside the bank at E is a hollow area (c. 10m across) with a pool of water in its base, surrounded by overgrowth.
