The National Monuments Service's description
In the N half of a a rath (MA118-110001-). Knox (1911, 228-9) recorded the foundations of a building, ‘39 feet by 17 feet’ [c. 12m by 5m] in the N half of the rath. In 1990 it was recorded as 'Hut site 2 (12.1m N-S; 6.4m E-W) on NE is defined by sod-covered foundations of stone wall.' (Lavelle 1994). There is another house (MA118-110003-) enclosing the opening to a souterrain (MA118-110002-) in the W half of the rath.
