The National Monuments Service's description

Located in the W half of a rath (MA118-110001-). Described by Knox (1911, 228-9) as the ‘foundations of a small rectangular building, 22 feet square’, enclosing the opening to a souterrain (MA118-110002-). In 1990 it was recorded as 'Hut site 1 (3.1m N-S; 2.8m E-W), on W side, defined by low earthen bank (H 0.3) contains souterrain' (Lavelle 1994). There is another house (MA118-110004-) in the N half of the rath.
