The National Monuments Service's description
In thistle-covered pasture, with a gradual fall of ground to E and good views over the surrounding gently undulating terrain. The summit of Croagh Patrick rises above the spine of the Partry Mountains on the far horizon to WSW.
Roughly circular, flat-topped earthen platform (diam. top 13.6m N−S top; overall diam. 15.9m N−S, 14.4m E−W) defined by an eroded scarp (H 0.4-0.5m). Large and medium-sized stones protrude intermittently along the base of the scarp, most clearly visible on the E arc; these appear to be the remains of a kerb or stone facing. There is a hint of a depression immediately outside the scarp at W and N, possibly indicating a fosse. A possible barrow (MA111-037002-) is 10m to SE
