The National Monuments Service's description
In an expanse of reclaimed pasture.
Listed in the SMR (1991) and RMP (1996) as a possible earthwork on the basis of a subcircular feature visible in an aerial photograph (SMR file: GSI M 26 -7; Roll 205, pr. 0).
At this location there is a low oval grass-covered rise (c. 28m N–S; c. 15m E–W). It has a relatively level top and gently sloping sides, with a broader, more gradual slope on the W side. At its NNW end there is a partly infilled quarry pit, and this may be the feature visible in the photograph. A farm track skirts the W side of the rise, cutting into the base of the slope. The rise appears to be a natural feature, and there is no convincing evidence at ground level of an archaeological monument.
