The National Monuments Service's description
In average pasture, located on a rise with good views. There is a farmstead 25m to N.
Raised roughly oval area (29.6m N–S; 36.6m E–W) defined NNE–W by a scarp (H 1.2m; Wth slope 1.4m) outside which at SSE–W there is a fosse (Wth 3m) and outer bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.45m). Slight undulations at N probably represent levelled remnants of the levelled fosse and outer bank. At NW–N the scarp and most of the NW quadrant of the interior have been quarried away. On the NE arc the scarp has a broad terraced slope.
The interior is highest to NW of centre, sloping outwards from there to the enclosing scarp. There is a ramp-like slump (Wth 4m) in the scarp at SSE which may indicate the original entrance.
Grass cover. A farm road lies within a few meters of the E side of the rath leading to the farmyard at N.
