The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture/grazing, located on a NW−SE ridge, which borders the W side of the valley of the River Glore. Ground falls away steeply c. 30m to NE of the rath towards the river which is 245m to E. There is a more gradually slope to SW.
This rath is indicated as a circular enclosure on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; by the time of the 1919 edition the N arc of the enclosure had been truncated by an E−W field boundary and the enclosure is depicted as a penannular hachured area open to N.
The S two thirds of the rath survive as very slightly raised semicircular area (27m E−W; 21m N−S) defined E−WNW by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6m; int. H 0.8m at SE, 0.3m at SW; ext. H 0.95m at SE, 0.85m at SW). The N arc of the rath has been levelled and there is no trace at ground level. A field boundary on a roughly E-W axis lies immediately to N, clipping the NW terminal of the bank.
The bank is largely earthen, but there are traces of stone facing in parts on the relatively vertical external face –this may be the result of modification in the modern era. There is a break (Wth 2.5m) at SSW.
A few meters to SE of the rath is a grass-covered mound (6.5m N−S; 5m E−W; H 0.8m) –probably a field clearance heap.
