The National Monuments Service's description
Located immediately to S of a holy well (MA080-014001). A pillar-like cairn (diam. 0.8-1m; H 0.6m) with a roughly circular cross-section, constructed of unmortared field stones. A hawthorn bush growing adjacent to the cairn has destabilised it and caused it to collapse. Another penitential station (MA080-014003-) of similar form is located immediately to S.
