The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture and scrub, located in level, lowlying ground overlooked to NE by a hill on top of which there is a cashel (MA074-001001-).
This enclosure is not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map but is shown as a circular enclosure on the 25 inch plan; only the S arc is shown on the 1920 OS 6-inch edition.
Circular area (diam. c. 60m) enclosed SE–SW by a drystone wall. The enclosing wall has been removed at NNW–ESE but a slight curving undulation can still be traced.
A field wall on a NW–SE axis extends through the centre of the interior. To SW of this wall, the enclosure is engulfed in deciduous woodland and scrub and much of the enclosing wall is obscured by overgrowth and only short sections at SE and SW could be examined: At SE the wall (Wth 0.7m; int. H 0.6-0.7m; ext. H c. 1m) is roughly built of small-medium sized field stones. It is partly tumbled, and largely covered in moss and ivy; at SW the wall (Wth c. 0.6m) is of similar rough construction but incorporates larger stones and forms a facing on a scarp (ext. H 1.2m), with a low inner rim of tumbled stones flush with interior ground level. The NW edge of the enclosure appears to be truncated by a field drain flanked by a field wall. The interior in the NE half of the enclosure is flat and is not raised above surrounding ground level; it is soft and water-logged underfoot.
