The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise with good views, particularly extensive to S.
This rath is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure and on the 1920 edition as a hachured semi-circular area, open to NW. It has been partly levelled and the N arc of the enclosure has been truncated. It is evident now as a roughly D-shaped raised area (28m N–S; 30m E–W) defined on the S arc by a broadly sloping levelled scarp (H 1.6m at S), steepest and best defined SE–S. The straight side to N is bordered by an E–W field wall.
The interior has a slight slope down from centre to S and SE, and the surface is somewhat uneven in places. In the centre, there is a pronounced linear depression (8m E–W; 2-2.4m N–S; D 0.1-5m), most clearly defined on its N edge.
