The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture, located on a slight rise with good views.
This rath is shown on the 1838 and 1920 OS 6-inch maps as a D-shaped enclosure, bordered on the straight side at N by a field boundary. It is evident as D-shaped platform (c. 28.7m NW–SE; c. 23m NE–SW) defined by a partly levelled, broadly sloping scarp (H c. 1.6m). The scarp (H 1.7m) on the straight side to NNE probably represents a truncation of an originally circular enclosure.
The interior surface is rather uneven, with a slope down from centre to E and SE, and a more marked dip to SW. There is a rath (MA074-004----) c. 200m to SW and another rath (MA074-006----) is located c. 350m to ENE.
