The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture, prominently sited on a drumlin, overlooking an expanse of boggy ground to N–NW and an area of mixed grassland to SW. A drain/stream, coinciding with the townland boundary, is located c. 50m downslope to N. Lough Gower is located 300m to W.
Circular ringfort-sized enclosure (diam. c. 25m) is shown on the 1838 and 1919 OS 6-inch maps. It has been levelled and there is no visible trace at ground level. There is a rath (MA073-021---) c. 300m to S.
