The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a low rise, with good views, in an area of undulating poor-average grassland.
Raised circular area (27.4m N–S; 27.8m E–W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.6m at NE). The bank is low internally, reduced almost to a scarp but retaining a slight, stony internal rim. A low, gently sloping section (Wth 3.4m) of the bank at E may mark an original entrance. There is a souterrain (MA073-001002-) in the interior.
The interior is planted with conifers, and the perimeter is ringed with a post and wire fence.
A farm track, on a NW–SE axis, lies close to the SW edge of the rath. There is a sand pit a few meters to W of the rath.
