The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on top of a hill, with very good views.
Slightly raised oval area (32m N−S; 27.6m E−W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6m SSE, 3.4m at NNW; int. H 0.6m at NNW; ext. H 1.1m at SSE, 0.95m at NNW).
The bank is low but well defined, with stones protruding intermittently along its inner face at NW and NE. It is incorporated into a later field wall on the SW arc. A low terrace (Wth c. 5m) defined on its outer edge by a low scarp is evident immediately outside the bank on the E half of the rath; it is possible that this may be the remnant of an outer enclosing element. There are narrow eroded breaks in the bank at N (Wth 1.2m) and NNE (Wth 1m).
According to local information, there is a souterrain (MA072-077001-) in the N half of the interior; the location is marked by a shallow surface depression in an area of uneven hummocky ground.
