The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a NE−SW ridge, at the break of slope at on the W side of the ridge. There are good views ESE−NW.
Slightly raised broadly oval area (c. 30-35m E−W; c. 25m N−S) defined by a scarp (H 0.4m at W, 1m at N) with remnants of stone facing. It has been modified and incorporated into a system of later field walls: A drystone field wall, set 2-3m in from the scarp, encloses the interior in a broad arc SW−NE, and intersects at NE with a N-S field wall that cuts across the E edge of the ringfort; there is an inward or W-facing scarp 1-2m to W of the N-S field wall, extending parallel to it through the ringfort interior, with a number of boulders set against it at its S end.
The S edge of the ringfort may have been partly cut away by the road that lies immediately to S of it; it is now faced externally and topped with drystone walling.
The interior is largely obscured by a thicket of blackthorn.
