The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, located on a rise, utilising the natural fall of ground to N.
Subcircular area (20m N−S; 25m E−W) defined by a drystone wall (Wth 1.3-1.5m; int. H 0.9-1m; ext. H 1.8m at N, 1.5m at S). The wall is roughly constructed of random medium-sized rubble, with a few larger stones and boulders in parts. It is in a rather dilapidated condition, with sections of collapse or slumping. It is incorporated into a system of field walls which radiate from it at N, NE, SE, S and W. Outside the enclosing wall at SW−NE there is a berm or terrace (Wth 2.6-3m) defined by a low scarp (H 0.6) on its outer edge.
The interior has a slight slope down from centre to E. There is a light covering of blackthorn scrub throughout. A blocked up gap in the enclosing wall at E may be an original entrance. The current entrance is a break (Wth 3m) at W.
A subrectangular annex or small field plot (11.8m NW-SE; 17.5m NE-SW) is appended to the enclosure wall at SE. It has a slightly raised level interior and is enclosed defined by a drystone wall (Wth 0.9m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1m). This may equate to a small subcircular feature shown abutting the E side of the enclosure on the 1838 OS 6-inch map.
