The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on top of a ridge, straddling the break of slope on the S side.
Raised circular area (29m N–S; 29m E–W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.5m at N, 1m at S; ext. H 1.45m at N, 1.8m at S). The bank is most substantial internally at E−SE, elsewhere is rather low. Stones protruding from the inner face of the bank at S–SW may be remnants of a kerb or stone facing. Stones protrude randomly from the external bank face.
The entrance may have been at E where there is a break (Wth c. 1.5m) in the bank, now blocked with field clearance debris. Another break (Wth 0.5m), eroded by farm stock, is located at NNE.
The interior is level and featureless. According to local tradition, there is a souterrain (MA072-041001-) in the interior. The rath is ringed with hawthorn and blackthorn.
