The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, straddling a rise, with good views, especially to E, over the surrounding undulating landscape of gravel hills. There is a stream 100m to E and a small lake in a hollow 120m to NW. An extensive commercial quarry is located immediately to SW.
Roughly circular raised area or platform (34m NW−SE; c. 28m NE−SW) defined by a scarp (H 0.9m at N, 1.4m at S; 2m at NE). A low, slumped section (Wth 2m) of the scarp at E may be an original entrance, opening onto a slope that falls gradually toward the stream.
The NW quadrant appears slightly higher than the rest of the interior, with a slope down from there to E and SE. There is a grassed-over depression (4m N−S; 2.5m E−W; D 0.5m) in the N half of the interior.
The scarp is ringed with hawthorn and brambles, especially dense on the SW arc. Overgrowth is encroaching on the W half of the interior.
A rath (MA072-033001-) is located 220m to NE.
