The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a rath (MA072-007).
A opening, roofed by a flat stone slab or lintel, is visible in the external face of the rath bank at NNE, 0.5m below the top of the bank. The opening (H 0.3m) is partly blocked, but reveals a souterrain passage (Wth c. 0.8m) of drystone construction, which extends to SSW beneath the bank into the interior of the rath. A very slight surface depression can be seen in the rath interior, extending for 5m to SW from the inner face of the bank; this probably indicates the line of the passage.
