The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on top of a ridge with a steep fall of ground on the S side. Views are best to S.
Slightly raised oval area (23m N−S; 27m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.4m at E, 2m at S, 1.6 at SW), which is enhanced at SE−SW by the steep natural slope. At W the scarp is incorporated into a straight NNE−SSW field fence and the remnants of a straight E−W field fence merges with the scarp at N. The rath interior has an uneven surface. There is a slight dip in the N part of the interior, and a gently slope down towards the perimeter in the SE quadrant and also in the SW quadrant. Hawthorn, gorse and brambles ring the perimeter and encroach the SW quadrant of the interior.
Outside the rath, at the base of the scarp at SE, there is a slightly sunken circular feature (diam. c. 2m), defined around its sunken edge by drystone walling. This may be a ruined limekiln.
