The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on the summit of a ridge with excellent views in all directions.
Raised circular area (26m N−S; 27.9m E−W) defined by a bank (Wth 2.1m at SSW, 1.7m at NNE; int. H 0.5m at SSW, 0.9m at NNE; ext. H 1.1m at SSW, 1.5m at NNE).
The rath spans the full E−W width of a narrow rectangular field, and the E and W arcs of the rath are incorporated into straight field fences. The bank has been adapted to serve as a field fence, and is high, relatively narrow with an almost vertical external slope, faced in parts with drystone walling. It is topped with a post and wire fence on the W arc. Two narrow breaks (Wth 0.4-0.6m) in the rath bank, one at NNE and one at S, allow passage from the N end of the field through the rath interior to the S part of the field. The original entrance may have been at SE where a length (L 2-3m) of drystone walling now blocks a gap/break in the rath bank. The interior is level, and covered by long hummocky grass.
