The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture incorporated into the SW corner of a modern rectangular field, located on top of a low ridge, at the break of slope on the gently falling S side. Views quite good over undulating terrain, wet in the lowlying hollows.
Circular platform (40.5m NW−SE; 43.6m NE−SW) defined by a high scarp (H 2m at SW, 1.7m at NE). A section of the scarp and a portion of the adjacent interior have been quarried out at NE−E in the past (grassed over now). The scarp is lowest and rather slumped at NNE. It retains a slightly raised inner lip at SE−S. It serves as a field boundary at ESE−S−WSW, and its exterior slope is covered in hawthorn and ash trees. At W the scarp is subsumed into a N−S field fence and is topped with a stone wall and engulfed in a hedgerow.
There is a very slight rise in interior ground level in the N half, to NW of centre, with a gently slope down from there to E and S.
