The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, prominently sited on a ridge overlooking a broad expanse of lowlying, damp pasture. Ground falls away steeply immediately to N−NE of the enclosure.
This possible rath is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m); it is shown as an oblong hachured enclosure (c. 60m N-S; c. 30m E-W) on the 1931 edition.
It has been levelled. The outline of a roughly circular flat area (c. 26m NE–SW; c. 28m NW–SE) is defined by a slight undulation/cropmark: An encircling band (Wth c. 4m) of yellowish grass, sloping outwards slightly, probably indicates a levelled bank or scarp, and outside that a band of richer, green grass -clearest on the W arc -is suggestive of an external fosse. The E edge of the enclosure has been dug away and a field fence on a NNE−SSW axis lies immediately to E.
