The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise on a broad, undulating ridge, with extensive views over lowlying ground to NW−NE. Views are good also to S. The ridge top rises gradually to W, and trees and a farmstead now block views to E.
This rath is shown as a circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on the 1838 and 1931 OS 6-inch maps; an outer ring, incorporated into a field boundary at W, is shown on the 25-inch plan.
It has been levelled. The outline of a slightly raised, roughly circular area (c. 28m E−W; c. 24n N−S) defined by a levelled scarp can still be traced. On the N arc the scarp merges with the natural ridge slope. The interior slopes down slightly to NE. There is an E−W farm track a few meters to N of the rath.
There are raths (MA071-053001-; MA071-059001-) 125m to NW and 200m to SW, respectively.
