The National Monuments Service's description

In the interior of a densely overgrown bivallate cashel (MA070-039001-). When inspected in 1983, six separate structures were noted: two possible square house sites and four possible round houses or huts (SMR file).

At the centre of the monument, the remains of two square drystone built structures (int. L c. 4-5m; Wth c. 4-5m; wall H 0.8-1.3m) stood almost back-to-back and were aligned on a NE-SW axis.

The remains of two possible circular hut or house sites (int. diam. c. 3-4m) abutted the inner wall face of the cashel at N and two similar structures abutted the wall at S. There was also a local tradition of a souterrain (MA070-029003-) in the interior of the cashel.

When reinspected in 2025, the monument was found to be totally overgrown and impenetrable in parts.
