In rocky pasture, encompassing a slight natural rise. There is rising ground to S and SW, and a gradual fall of ground to N and NE.
This enclosure is not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is shown on the 1920 edition as a roughly D-shaped enclosure incorporated in to the S end of a rectangular field.
Slightly raised roughly D-shaped area (int. 26m NNE−SSW; 34.6m WNW−ESE) defined at NW−NE by a curving drystone wall and at E, S and W by straight drystone walls. The curving portion of the wall does not have a smooth regular arc, but is undulating or kinked. The enclosing walls (Wth 1-1.4m; int. H 0.5m at NNE, 1.4m at SSW; ext. H 0.8 at W, 1.6m at SSW) are constructed of medium sized stone rubble, and are similar in size and form to adjacent field walls. There is a break (Wth 2.2m) at ESE and another (Wth 0.7m) at WMW. The interior has a slight slope down to N, and has an uneven surface, dotted with a few sod-covered boulders. A large heap of field clearance stones is piled against the exterior of the enclosure at NE.
It is difficult to be certain about the nature/date of this enclosure. It is not shown on the 1838 map, and the current enclosing walls appear to be no earlier than other field walls in the area, i.e. probably 19th century in date, but it is possible that they have subsumed the remains of an early subcircular or oval enclosure. Another enclosure (MA063-032----) is located c. 125m to SW.
